From application to first day in post
No vague timelines. No hidden steps. Here is every stage of the process — what happens, who does what, and how long it takes — laid out plainly so you can make a confident decision.
What we do
We handle every element of the placement process: matching you to the right destination and employer, managing licensing and documentation, coordinating visas, and preparing you for life in your new country.
How long it takes
The full process from application to deployment typically takes 2–6 months depending on destination and licensing pathway. Libya and Bahrain can be significantly faster. UK NMC and US pathways take longer.
What it costs you
Prodesse does not charge candidates a recruitment fee — ever. However, candidates are responsible for their own process costs such as DataFlow, Prometric exam fees, and document attestation. We give you a full cost breakdown during your consultation.
Apply & get assessed
The first step is a single online form that takes about five minutes. No CV upload required at this stage — we just need the basics to confirm you're likely to be eligible before investing anyone's time.
Submit your application
Complete our short online form with your profession, qualification, experience, and destination preferences. No payment. No commitment.

Our team reviews your details against destination-specific eligibility criteria within 48 hours. We tell you directly what's possible and what isn't.

- Approximate years of post-qualification experience
- Preferred destination(s) (or we can advise)

Match, interview & receive offer
Licensing does not begin until after you accept an offer. This phase is focused on finding the right employer, presenting your profile, and securing an offer that works for you. Nothing is submitted to a licensing body until you have a signed offer in hand.
Document package preparation
We confirm which documents you'll need and help you prepare your professional portfolio — qualifications, registration certificate, passport, and employment references — ready to present to employers. No submissions to licensing bodies at this stage.
1–2 weeksEmployer presentation & shortlisting
Your profile is presented to our employer network. We match you to institutions that fit your speciality, experience level, and destination preference. We brief you fully before any interview takes place.
2–4 weeksInterview, offer & contract review
We prepare you for the interview and debrief you afterwards. Once an offer is made, we review every element of the contract with you — salary, allowances, accommodation, flights — and advise on anything worth negotiating before you sign.
1–3 weeks- Professional qualification level (degree vs. diploma)
- Years of post-qualification experience in your speciality
- Training background and country of initial registration
- English language proficiency
- Clinical references and employment history
- Availability and notice period
After offer acceptance: licensing to deployment
Licensing only begins once you have accepted and signed your offer. The sequence is: offer signed → licensing initiated → DataFlow verification → Prometric exam (where required) → visa → deployment. We manage each stage and keep you updated throughout.
Offer accepted & licensing initiated
Once you sign, we initiate the licensing process for your destination. This triggers DataFlow verification (where required), your application to the relevant licensing body, and any exam registration.
Immediately on signingDataFlow credential verification (where required)
For most Gulf destinations, your qualifications are independently verified through DataFlow or an equivalent authority. We guide you through exactly what's needed and track progress throughout.
4–12 weeks (destination dependent)Prometric or licensing exam (where required)
Many Gulf and UK destinations require a clinical licensing exam — Prometric for Gulf states, CBT + OSCE for the NMC. Prodesse provides in-house preparation support and tracks registration with the licensing body.
4–8 weeks preparationVisa & travel coordination
The employer's PRO (Public Relations Officer) typically handles the visa. We liaise on your behalf and ensure all documentation is in order for a smooth visa process.
2–6 weeksPre-departure briefing & deployment
Before you travel, we provide a destination briefing covering accommodation, transport, banking, cultural norms, and your first day. We are available when you arrive and throughout your first contract.

How it works for your profession
The core process is the same, but licensing requirements differ significantly by profession. Here's what to expect.
Nurses & Midwives
Nurses and midwives have the widest range of destinations available — including all nine Prodesse markets. Licensing requirements vary significantly: Gulf destinations require DataFlow verification and registration with local bodies; the UK requires CBT + OSCE; the USA requires NCLEX.
Key licensing bodies by destination
- Saudi Arabia: SCFHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties)
- UAE: DHA (Dubai), DOH (Abu Dhabi), or MOHAP depending on emirate
- Qatar: QCHP (Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners)
- Bahrain: NHRA (National Health Regulatory Authority)
- UK: NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) — CBT + OSCE required
- USA: State Board of Nursing — NCLEX-RN required
For Asian-trained nurses with a diploma (not degree), eligibility is destination-specific. Libya and some Gulf states have specific requirements — we assess this at application stage.
Allied Health Professionals
Allied Health Professionals — physiotherapists, radiographers, lab scientists, occupational therapists, pharmacists and others — have strong demand across Gulf markets. Destination eligibility is narrower than for nurses, but packages and conditions are comparable.
Available destinations for AHPs
- Saudi Arabia: Strong demand — SCFHS registration required
- UAE: DHA / DOH depending on emirate
- Qatar: QCHP — degree required, DataFlow verification
- Bahrain: NHRA — AHPs eligible
- United Kingdom: HCPC registration — NMC pathway not applicable
Libya does not accept AHPs through Prodesse's current employer network. USA placements are currently Nurses only.
Physicians & Consultants
Physician placements carry the highest packages and the most rigorous credential evaluation. The process is more tailored — matching specialty, experience level, and qualifications to specific institutions with the right position.
Key requirements for physicians
- Recognised medical degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience for most Gulf destinations
- Minimum 10 years for some Bahrain positions (consultant grade)
- Specialist board certification beneficial for senior roles
- SCFHS, QCHP, or equivalent Gulf registration
UK placements for physicians are not currently available through Prodesse. USA physician placements require J-1 or H-1B visa pathways and are evaluated case-by-case.
Questions we always get asked
Prodesse does not charge candidates a recruitment fee — ever. However, candidates are responsible for their own process costs, which vary by destination. These typically include DataFlow credential verification, Prometric examination fees, document attestation, and English language testing where required. Your employer covers your visa costs and flights. We will give you a full breakdown of expected out-of-pocket costs during your consultation so there are no surprises.
Yes. The initial application only requires basic information — your profession, qualifications, and experience. We don't need original documents until the licensing stage. Applying early gives you a clear picture of what will be needed so you can start gathering documents while the process moves forward.
Eligibility depends on your profession, qualification level, training background, years of experience, and destination. The best way to find out is to apply — we assess every application and give you a direct answer within 48 hours. Each destination page also has an eligibility quick-check section.
DataFlow timelines vary, but we track progress and chase on your behalf. While DataFlow is in progress, we can often begin employer matching in parallel — so your application to employers isn't delayed waiting for verification to complete. We'll keep you updated throughout.
Yes and no. We will always discuss your preferences — and where your profile gives you genuine options, you choose. However, some candidates have limited destination choices due to their training background, nationality, or gender requirements at certain employers. We will be honest with you about which destinations are realistic for your specific profile.
This depends on your destination and your seniority level. In Saudi Arabia, dependent visas for non-leadership roles are generally not available — most standard nursing and AHP placements are single-status. In the UAE, family visas are more commonly available even for non-managerial roles, but candidates should be aware that the cost of living — particularly schooling and housing — is significantly higher than in Saudi Arabia and requires careful financial planning. We discuss family arrangements in detail during your consultation.
We provide a pre-departure briefing covering everything from what to bring to how banking and transport works in your destination. After you arrive, Prodesse remains your contact — we don't disappear once the placement is made. Most of our business comes from candidates who place again or refer colleagues.
